Passionate musician Steve Angello is a DJ, record producer, remixer and record label owner. He is also a member of Swedish House Mafia – and has just been awarded the Best Malmö Ambassador prize at the Malmö Näringslivsgala (Business Gala) on February 11, 2019. In addition to the prestigious title, he was awarded a prize that I was commissioned to create especially for him. I made sure the bespoke art prize was full of what inspires him and also what he has created. Not least his two daughters, Winter Rose and Monday Lily, in the form of carefully shaped copper blossoms and a lily etched into the reflecting brass.The artwork is made of etched and patinated copper, brass and bronze and measures 30×45 cm. The prize was presented by Malmö Mayor Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh and last year’s winner, award-winning chef Tareq Taylor. Below are a few details as well as the full work.
