I had the honor of creating PLÅTPRISET, the Metal Prize, which was awarded to the architects at LINK Arkitektur at the inspiring annual PLÅT conference. LINK received the prize for their design of the very special Skandionkliniken in Uppsala, the first clinic for proton therapy in Scandinavia, where children with cancer are treated in especially gentle and effective ways.
The PLÅT seminar is a major annual event devoted to metal sheeting and architecture. The purpose of the seminar is to highlight sheet metal facades and metal’s architectural potential, showcasing unconventional ways of utilizing it. Every year some 300 architects, contractors and consultants attend the seminar. It is produced by Far From Standard.
